I’m sure everyone has notice the amount of unwanted JMPD directing the traffic on our roads over the past few months. Why the HELL are you here? The traffic lights are working!!!
Yesterday afternoon on Simmonds Street, I watch the robot change from Red to Green over six times, without moving an inch. I got pissed off because unlike the JMPD, I have a lovely family to go home to. I have other important things to do with my life other than enjoying a glorious afternoon in stinky, dirty Joburg Town. I got out of my car, walked up to the intersection and tried aimlessly to get the police men’s attention. I eventually started yelling at him and after about a minute of screaming he finally turns around and looks at me blankly. I shout out “Are you frikken crazy? The robot has turned green 6 times and we haven’t moved! What the hell are you doing? I would like to go home now!” He then asks me, “Which one is your car?” I point out my car, hoping that he’s not trigger happy and decides to give me a ticket or shoot me (since that’s what they do now). He turns back, leaving me with no answer or sign of something to happen. So I furiously strut back to my car, jump in and eagerly await his reaction. The robot had just turned red now for the eighth time and he allows my lane through, I’m car number 3 in this traffic so car number 4 had to stop and wait until Mr.JMPD decided to let people go home to their families.
Where the heck are you guys when we’re being robbed or waiting aimlessly at the police station to file a complaint or something? Why are you interrupting traffic during peak hours? Let the Outsurance Points-men do their jobs, they know what their doing and its quiet clear that you don’t! Why work against traffic? Seriously! I understand ensuring that people don’t block the intersections but you guys are causing nonsense on our roads.
As for this random ticketing for absolute bullshit! I’ve been pulled over four times in the first month of getting my car where the police circled my car numerous times looking for something to fine me for. You’re supposed to be protecting good honest tax paying citizens not making our lives hell.
Oh and FYI guys, if you want to check if you should be paying for a traffic fine, ticket, infringement, etc.
